Cristiano Ronaldo keeps justifying the Greatest of All Time tag with his name as the Portuguese helped Al-Nassr win the Arab Club Champions Cup for the first time in history by beating Al-Hilal 2-1 at the King Fahd Stadium on Saturday.

Ronaldo, 38, has now scored six goals in his last five matches with the Saudi club all while playing five games in a span of 12 days.

Al-Hilal’s Michael scored for his side in the 51st minute after which their super midfield of Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic took control of the match and kept most of the possession.

The match looked in Al-Hilal’s control but then Ronaldo did what he does best and scored a goal in the 74th minute on Sultan Al-Ghannam’s assist after making a quick inside-the-box run between Ali Al-Boleahi and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Before Ronaldo's equalizer, Al-Nassr's Abdulelah Al-Amri's got a red card for making a professional last-man foul in the 71st minute.

Ronaldo almost scored the winner for his side during the additional minutes but his left-footed attempt was cleared with a spectacular attempt by Al-Boleahi.

The game went to extra time after it ended 1-1 during normal time.

But it did not take long for Ronaldo to do his thing as the 38-year-old scored the winner in the 98th minute.

Seko Fofana attempted a long-range shot after Al-Hilal’s goalkeeper came off his line to make a save, Fofana’s shot hit the crossbar and landed on Ronaldo’s head who did not have any trouble putting the ball behind the net.

Ronaldo was taken off by Al-Nassr’s manager Luis Castro in the 115th minute as the Portuguese picked up an injury.

After the final whistle, Ronaldo joined the team again in the celebrations and lifted the Cup.

Al-Nassr attempted a total of 19 shots with 10 on target while Al-Hilal was not much of a threat as they could only register four shots on target with a total of 20 attempts.

Castro along with his Nawaf Boushal was awarded a red card on the bench for arguments.

Ronaldo now has a great attacking partner in Sadio Mane, a UEFA Champions League (UCL) winner. In midfield, he has Marcelo Brozovic, who played UCL final last year with Inter Milan and the former Newcastle midfielder Seko Fofana.

In defence, Ronaldo combines with his former Manchester United teammate Alex Telles on the left flank.

With some great reinforcements during the transfer window, it can be said that Al-Nassr are now ready to challenge for the Saudi Pro League title.
